ALCO'S GREEN PRACTICES

Here are a few of the green practices we have put into place:

OIL RECLAMATION & SCRAP RECYCLING

All of the oil used in our facilities is reclaimed and repurposed. We take the byproducts of manufacturing—chips, scrap and shavings—and run them through a chip spinner. We reclaim the oil, then send the dry chips out to be recycled back into raw bar stock.

LED LIGHTING IN ALL FACILITIES

We are in the process of switching to long-lived, low-energy LED lighting in all of our manufacturing facilities, but we won’t stop there. We plan to equip our lighting system with timers and motion detectors, cutting down significantly on wasted electricity in less-used areas during
